The fact that I have
an environment
where
I can devote myself
into the development.
Development

INTERVIEW
q1.Tell us about your current position.

I develop software in the R&D division including programmable display, teaching pendant, safety radar, etc.
In the display development, functional improvement and addition of new features are performed for a version upgrade to improve users' useability. Instead of being assigned to work on a single phase, I am able to be engaged with the entire tasks for each version update ranging from design examination to quality assessment, so I can acquire a wide range of skills.
During the teaching pendant development, I was able to learn the know-how of firmware (the software which actually operates inside a product) development by progressing the development process ranging from CPU porting to product shipment as a chief developer.
New hires can be assigned with tasks as early as in their first few years of their tenure. I feel very satisfied to work here because I can feel my skill level goes up each and every day. Assigning a task does not mean hands-off. I can progress my task within a thorough support system involving my team members and superior, so I can rest assured and work on it.
q2.Tell us about IDEC's attraction.

I can feel the satisfaction of "manufacturing products for my own" and the friendly atmosphere for easy communication!

Instead of doing what I am instructed to do, I need to progress my work by understanding its purpose and significance while sharing my own suggestion. The company attracts me because I feel satisfied when I "manufacture my own products" on top of the satisfaction for the "work" itself. I found it is a very easy to work because others have ears to listen to my proposal, give me worm advice when I need, and the atmosphere allows everyone to communicate freely at any time.
I decided to join IDEC when I visited the organization through the internship program. As I experienced such attraction, I strongly felt like "I wanna join IDEC!'. Seeing is believing for real. Just come to our company and check it out!
q3.Tell us about your dreams and future goals you want to accomplish at IDEC.

I would like to become an engineer who is well-trusted by others.

I would like to become an engineer that others can turn to and recalls like "he knows it all" and "leave it to him and he will take care of it."
It is not easy and also a great achievement to become a professional who is excellent in one thing. However, in order to absorb new technologies which are introduced to the market one after another and incorporate them in the development, I would like to be a talent who can become an all-round engineer who can handle any situation. For doing so, I would like to discipline my mind to challenge things I did not know or haven't done before without hesitation and expand my capacity to brush up my challenging spirit to keep me going.

HOLIDAY
How to spend holidays
I release stress by going to watch a baseball match and enjoy the craze I cannot get in my normal life. I would also go to see the movies often, too. When a movie I went to watch for no particular reason turned out to be better than expected, I feel lucky to have encountered a masterpiece.
-
FAVORITE
My favorite
I am generally admitted to be the gyoza lover, and I even hop different gyoza restaurants on holidays. During the gyoza festival in Nagoya, I was able to finish eating gyoza sold at all shops, so just like our co-worker who is known as "SASUKE-kun" for his exposure to the athletic TV show, please call me "GYOZA-kun the clean sweeper!"

OTHER
Miscellaneous
I used to learn Kyokushin Karate for 12 years since I was a first grader. After retired from the scene, my muscles are not as big as they used to be, but I overcome hardships by making the most of the spirit and patience I cultivated through karate!
