INTERVIEW
q1.Tell us about your current position.

I am in charge of research and development of the next generation safety technology at the R&D Division in the Technology Development Department.
So far, IDEC has developed a wide variety of products controlling mechanical safety such as switches and controllers, and many customers use them today. These products supporting customer safety are expected to work properly as a major premise with very high reliability.
My job is to promote technological innovation through collaboration with partner companies and colleges at times by maximizing the development capability based on the safe design philosophy and reliable design cultivated by IDEC up until now, and to develop technology to help all workers keep both safety and security. I struggle a lot because it requires broad knowledge and adaptability. I find it most rewarding to be able to be involved in operations while experiencing growth as we face our customers' problems and seek means to solve them. Our mission is to protect a worker of today and the future and their families.
q2.Tell us about IDEC's attraction.

The culture which allows you to incorporate your own ideas and opinions into their work.

IDEC's development strongly suggests challenging new things. If there is anything useful to resolve market issues, the culture would push our back to "give it a shot." Our hypotheses don't hit the target all the times, but it satisfies me for being able to be engaged with the task with my sense of ownership. I can also feel that the feedback and the learning experiences earned through the challenge become the know-how of the next development in a positive flow.
q3.Tell us about your dreams and future goals you want to accomplish at IDEC.

It is to reduce as many grave disasters in the world as possible.

Before joined IDEC, I used to work for a construction company. I was aware of so many people working hand in hand with danger, and there were times when I faced a risk myself, too. There is no such thing as an absolute safety, however we aim to provide a space where customers can feel safe and secured through the products and systems we develop, and contribute to the workers' well-being. I will continue working hard to create values restlessly.

How to spend holidays
I would often go for a ride with my family. We enjoy relaxing moments forgetting about the time by exploring new shops, going to a new park, and exercising.

FAVORITE
My favorite
I am really into culinary researches. Although this is not anything like a masterly level, I try to discover a matching flavor of my taste for the dishes I cook by arranging the seasoning mix and the heating time and degree. Some day, I would like to be specific about the smoking method, too.

OTHER
Miscellaneous
The most delightful moment I had recently was when I was able to assure the growths of my daughter and her friends. When I come to pick up my daughter to the kindergarten, many pupils stops me to share how their day went and what they achieved for the day. Catching a glimpse of their respective growths makes my day and brings peace of mind.
