INTERVIEW
q1.Tell us about your current position.

As a sales rep, I provide support for one agency and users in Kansai area.
When I was in college, I learned about the structure and development of Japanese industry, which triggered me to look up to B2B manufacturers particularly in a niche industry which seems having knowledge only those in the industry can understand, then something brought me to join IDEC.
IDEC produces a wide range of products by targeting FA industries, therefore we can meet with users across varieties of industries. Each product is appealing with its profoundness because the more you learn about how a product was developed, the deeper your loyalty becomes. Due to a wide range of the product categories, it is not easy for me to learn many things. It pays off when customers happily choose IDEC products, and everyday goes by productively.
q2.Tell us about IDEC's attraction.

Work and life balance, good people, the work style that allows us going home without returning to the office, I guess.

IDEC encourages employees to take annual leave. This is very attractive for me to maintain the work and life balance. I enjoy keeping such a balance. My love watching baseball games, so I often take half a day off to go to a baseball stadium. Due to my little experiences, there are many areas of improvements in my performance on top of the wide varieties of IDEC products. Another amazing thing about the company is that there are many kind employees who are willing to help me learn things I need even though I have never met them. As a sales rep, this is very helpful for me because holding communications with other departments is crucial.
Lastly, the sales team in the IDEC sales support department go to/ return from a customer site without dropping by their office, and as a general routine they work from home. It took a while to get used to work from home at the beginning, but I found myself being able to concentrate for my job because I spend much time alone and didn't get destructed by unexpected meetings. Working from home does not require me to commute to work either so this is very helpful, lol.
q3.Tell us about your dreams and future goals you want to accomplish at IDEC.

I would like to perform my daily work by trying to think outside the box and keep renewing our products and company at all times as a motto.

While juggling multiple suborganizations, making changes is not easy for a company. Continuing to improve things instead of overlooking like "whatever" is important and crucial for a company to survive, I think. What I can do every day to make it happen is paying close attention to our users and agencies during our daily sales activities, understanding their voice as an active listener, and reflect them into our products and services in the end.

I watch pro baseball games on TV over a snack or at a baseball stadium for real. I'd relax, sit tight and watch baseball games at home or share the excitement and joy with people sitting near me on site, both of which are so much fun!

FAVORITE
My favorite
As I mentioned before, I love watching baseball games. As far back as I can remember, I was already a fan of the Hanshin Tigers! I don't even recall what triggered me, lol. I always receive positive vibes and courage through the players' performance. My dream is to be there at the stadium to celebrate the moment of their championship one day.

OTHER
Miscellaneous
One recent event that made my day was that I won a lottery and received an autographed and used batt of a player of Hanshin Tigers named Yusuke Oyama! I couldn't be merrier because he is my favorite baseball player in the team. I take good care of it and keep it in my living room.
