INTERVIEW
q1.Tell us about your current position.

I am in charge of software development for safety products that saves peoples' lives.
Due to its life-and-death impact, safety products need to clear a thorough screening process of an external certification body. Let alone meeting all the requirements, a product design is required to cover every possible scenarios including defects. Product designing is not an easy job as we receive loads of feedback from certification bodies and there are so many things that need to be taken into consideration, but such opportunity helps me deepen my understanding about the job and improves our designing capability. "Creating a product to protect human safety" was my motive to join the organization, so my dream has come true. I feel blessed to be part of the safety product development, which is the core part of IDEC's strength.
q2.Tell us about IDEC's attraction.

I think the corporate culture maintains a good work and life balance and values its employees.

IDEC values a work-and-life balance. I feel we are encouraged to take annual leaves and the company's benefit program is very good. The annual leave can be requested per day, half a day, 2 hours, etc., which helps me schedule my personal errands. Another thing to note is the employee cafeteria. The food they serve taste good and comes with well-balanced nutritions. I cannot wait for the lunch break every day.
Furthermore, the company gym is available for free so I often work out there after work. Thanks to the corporate culture which treat employees good, it is a blessing to work with kind and warm-hearted co-workers. I think this is a major attraction about the company because such atmosphere helps me feel very comfortable to consult with others when I need their advice.
q3.Tell us about your dreams and future goals you want to accomplish at IDEC.

I want to become a leading software engineer for safety product development.

The majority of the safety software development team members are experts and they often lend me their helping hands. One day, I would like to lead the team and help my juniors like them. I will keep up with my daily work and accumulate my knowledge and experiences related to the safety software development. IDEC is going to reinforce its business with more safety products in the future, so I will continue making efforts restlessly to become the engineer that IDEC cannot miss.
