INTERVIEW
q1.Tell us about your current position.

I take charge of different interactions in the Procurement & SCM Division Procurement Department negotiating lead time for overseas parts (mainly in Taiwan and France).
In my previous career, I used to take charge of the domestic procurement of car parts. Though the industry was different, my appeal to work abroad was granted to work in a current position.
Because I am new to electronic parts, I often face many challenges every day. At the moment, there has been a delay in the lead time due to a semiconductor shortage, and in some serious cases, parts won't get delivered until a year from now. I fight every day negotiating with the manufacturers arranging replacements, etc. I also take the lead to work on cost reductions of the corporate project, too. I enjoy working hard every day being exposed to new parts and engaged with manufacturing.
q2.Tell us about IDEC's attraction.

It is the company challenging so hard to succeed globally.
The company who embraces human networks.

I chose IDEC for two reasons. First, it is the most striving company in a global challenge. 50% of its revenue is earned abroad, which can realize my dream of career challenge abroad. Secondly, the company embraces human relationship- this is something I sensed during my job interview. I believe the company values who you are unlike other companies. My impression hasn't changed since I joined the organization. I interact with many departments on a daily basis, and I found the corporate culture that values communication helps my job going very smoothly and many people lend their helping hands in case of need.
q3.Tell us about your dreams and future goals you want to accomplish at IDEC.

I will become a procurement specialist in ten years.

I would like to establish a relationship with suppliers and inside the company and become the first person that pops in their head like "let's go ask that guy, he'll work something out for us".
In 5 years, I would like to be able to do my work with a certain degree of my discretion. For doing so, I would like to accumulate many different experiences. I will study and acquire many knowledges being exposed to various parts each and every day.

How to spend holidays
Being a camper, I would go camping with my friends, out for shopping, etc. Basically you don't find me at home because I am an OUTDOOR lover. Other than that, I am good at DIY! I enjoy making a chest, arranging a junked granny bike to a road bike, etc.

FAVORITE
My favorite
The steaks served at the employee cafeteria is the best! Depending on the mood, I have other menus such as ramen, curry and rice, and the like. My favorite IDEC product is a push-in type of terminal block. It is truly a fruit of efforts constantly prioritizing customers' conveniences.

OTHER
Miscellaneous
One recent event that brightened me up was the resumption of the rock festival! After the situation calmed down with COVID-19, I wanna go rock n' roll in front of my favourite band.
